Issue 01: Sanaa Takes Greece

Take a look inside our latest collection. I’m sharing the inspiration behind these bangles and how Greece’s coastlines, language, and ‘endless summers’ shaped each design. It’s more than just jewelry; it’s a love letter to everything I adore about Greece.

A Love Letter To Greece

I knew bangles were the next thing I wanted to add to Sanaa Jewels. They’ve always held a special place in my heart—I’ve been fascinated with them since I was young. I still remember my collection of blue beaded and gold bangles from Claire’s and how they made me feel fashionable and put together, even as a little girl. Recently, I’ve noticed bangles making a comeback, which I love, and I knew I had to be part of it.

With bangles in mind, I began brainstorming this collection and was instantly drawn to Greece and its natural beauty—its coastlines, rich language, and ‘endless summers.’ There’s something about Greece that feels effortless yet luxurious, and I wanted to bottle that feeling into each piece. My fascination quickly turned into inspiration, and this collection naturally evolved into my love letter to everything I adore about Greece. The collection features a trio—Kýma, Stázei, and Kos—thoughtfully designed to capture the essence of the Mediterranean. Each piece is crafted in premium 18k gold-plated stainless steel to ensure they shine as bright and last as long as those endless summer days.

For me, this collection isn’t just about jewelry; it’s about the feeling of freedom, warmth, and luxury in their purest forms. I want each piece to encourage you to experience luxury in ways that feel natural and enjoyable—to you. It’s about embracing the golden moments of summer while wearing pieces that make you feel confident, refined, and carefree, no matter where you are.

The Breakdown

This collection is all about capturing that dreamy, warm style of Greece in every curve and detail. Each bangle in this trio has a unique story to tell, inspired by the beauty of the Mediterranean.

First, we have Kýma (KEE-mah)—meaning 'wave' in Greek. Kýma was inspired by the natural curves and movement of the ocean. I’ve always loved how the waves can be both bold and gentle at the same time and this bangle captured that feeling perfectly. It’s a piece that just works—putting it on with a simple outfit adds that extra touch, making your casual, dressed-down fit look instantly put together. It’s bold but still has that simplicity that makes it feel so chic like it was always meant to be there.

Next, there’s Stázei (STAH - zee), which means 'it drips' in Greek. This one is inspired by the way the sun seems to melt everything. While this might be seen as a negative thing, I wanted to find the beauty in it, I view this bangle as melting gold, dripping and flowing as if warmed by the Greek sun. Its fluid, imperfect shape captures that natural, free-spirited vibe—odd but beautiful. Its playful design adds a youthful, unique touch to your collection.

Finally, we have Kos (Koss), named after one of Greece's serene islands. Kos is all about effortless simplicity. Its smooth, clean design mirrors the quiet peace of sandy shores, bringing a sense of calm wherever you go. This bangle adds a subtle touch of chicness to any look and can comfortably be worn stacked. It’s that easy, go-to piece that goes with everything.
